The Kwid is not my primary car; I bought it as a secondary, daily use car. The other option was to buy a small car from the Maruti stable. Unfortunately I made the wrong choice! This is my personal experience; may not match with others; may be the car delivered to me had multiple manufacturing faults, accidentally! [but I never had this experience with manufacturers like Honda, Hyundai, Maruti; all of which I used before and using now.]
KWID RXT 800cc: Extremely poor petrol economy [9-10km light traffic city driving mostly in 4th to 5th gear, with AC on); very weak 800cc engine for the car’s size; no acceleration with AC on; irratic engine performance with jumpiness; extremely rattling and noisy engine: embarrassing!
Very poor driving comfort. Difficult maneuverability and road assessment( I’m’driving’ for last 30years in India and UK!) Appaling service centres in Kolkata. Parts not available often. Already had problems with accelator pedal, silencer pipe, engine malfunction! Only plus is the visual appeal.
