Its Pulsating!!!

Purchased a Renault Pulse RxZ in April 2012. Lots of people suggested me to not buy as Renault is an unknown brand in India and their dealership reach is not upto the mark. Since I stay in a Metro, it was not much of a concern, plus I was bored with the usual Swifts, i20s, i10s. In the end, choice was between Maruti Suzuki Ritz and Renault Pulse. Ultimately decided to go for Renault Pulse as it was newer and was better looking than Ritz. I am not an Auto Enthusiast but I simply love the dCi Engine of the Pulse. You don’t feel live driving a diesel and it sips, frugally! It is only at starting and stopping Engine that I feel the jerk. But I can live with that. The interiors are nice and spacious with enough leg room and head room. Passengers in the rear seat do not feel claustrophobic.Boot is ample to fit in two big suitcases. Looks are subjective but I think it looks superb!

Have drove 2000 kms till now and no complaints yet. In city traffic, the motor purrs!! I am yet to take it out on a highway cruise, hopefully this weekend.

On the downside, the glove box is a big disappointment. Renault needs to re-think the design. It is too small and not good enough to keep anything. Lack of ABS, though I have not felt the need, is a big disappointment.

All in a all, an awesome package.

I would recommend anyone wishing to buy a hatchback to test drive a Renault Pulse once. You will not be disappointed.
