I wish I could have stayed somewhere else

Sikkim is place which is worth a visit for its virgin beauty although Gangtok is like anyother hill station. It is highly populated and polluted. This hotel is on a convenient approach. Unfortunately, the hotel was the only one we could get in since other and better hotels were full. The hotel is located close to the main bazar. In Gangtok you do not have a major problem with problem but once you leave Gangtok it is THE problem element. Hotel Tibet is not a big hotel. Rooms are fairly well kept. There is no great variety as far as food is concerned. It is better to depend on food joints in the bazar than expect it from the hotel staff. The lesser said about the staff better. The staffers normally attend to you after you give 3-4 calls. Morning tea will be served at 7 only while you cannot sleep after 4.30 AM since sun is already up by that time. Tea is generally not available outside also at that time so it is difficult. When you are planning to go out of Gangtok you tend to leave by 5.30 or 6.00 AM so that you are back by 2 in case you want to return the same day otherwise you are likely to get stuck in rain and landslides. Bed etc are fairly okay nothing great about it. The overall ambience of the hotel is just okay. I wish I had booked in some other hotel much earlier.
