I had bought an air purifier from Rentickle for 3 months and the contract end date was set to April 11th. I informed them well before time which was 15 days before expiration of agreement. And I also receive a confirmation on the pickup. The did mention that pickup would not be possible on 11th April, but it would be between 17-19th April due to lockdown, which was fair enough.
When the product was not picked up by the said date, there was intimation or call, I followed up, to which they informed it will be done in May.
Not to mention, with every email they asked me to confirm that I do not wish to extend the contract, to which I obliged.
Till this point, they did not mentioned extending the contract or anything. But things changed when lockdown got extended and they realised that the pick up cannot be made any time sooner!
One day suddenly, out of the blue, they started sending me payment emails! I was shocked. I told them I have already informed numerous time that I am not extending the contract and I also told them how I got confirmation from Rentickle side.
Finally, I got on the call with one of the representative, who was so impatient and was not ready to listen to me at all! She kept telling 45 days clause. I tried to explain her how my pickup was confirmed and everything but to no vail. Instead she started explaining me the policy by comparing with house rent and stating that Rentickle is not selling tomatoes!
I have given them all the proofs and the email communication from their end which confirms my contract closure but they are still hellbent on making me pay!
I considered this as total harassement of poor customers.
I am ready to take legal action against them if things dont settle.
The wordWORST doesnt justify the trauma I have gone through due to this!
