Settled the device forever.
One day as I was going through reviews posted by people on mobile
repair services to get my Motorola Nexus 6 power issue corrected, I
checked out this small organization " SettleMetal " based somewhere
in BTM Bangalore. The reviews on facebook(of course all fake and put
by friends and relatives) projected image of a competent and
trustworthy repair shop owner. I called up and a certain Mr. Vikas
arranged for the pickup of the device from my house. There was no
tracking id provided no forms filled on the condition of the device
during acceptance.
Satisfied that the timely pickup would ensure a max of a couple of days or lesser of hardware fixes and I would have a ready phone in 2 days, I waited for their call.
They never called up. So I mailed them and called them, their director picked up. When I enquired about the condition of
the device I was told in the most unapologetic and shamelessly lying way that my device screen was delivered in a broken condition with the power button missing too. A concocted story was narrated.thief started blaming the cop.
The device screen(approx.10k) was shattered and sensing their mobile repair personnel’s
stupidity these guys made up a story to feed me. To pacify me some stupid notifications of escalations within their own nest were mailed. A sheer case of mishandling of costly devices by incompetent staff.
My sincere advice to the reader, beware of such small time vendors. "SettleMetal" has a history of breaking costly mobile screens.and of course when they know the device can’’t be fixed by anyone they will steal parts like cables from your handset.
