Resident Evil-The sci-fi horror movie that had both Positive and negative
reviews.Just run through my review to find out the pros and cons of the movie. And for me the movies strengths were weaker than the negatives.Really it isnt a bad movie, I should say, but could have been made better.
Paul Anderson is the director of the movie. The plot of the movie is sci-fi, but
understandable.A very good plot indeed.Umbrella Corporations secret lab is destroyed by the Mainframe central computer Red Queen (commenced by a thief stealing anti-virus) and the bio-chemicals transform the workers in the secret organization to Zombies. The crew that lands up as specialist forces get trapped and thats the whole story.
Milla jovovich was very fair on her part. She makes the movie stand up.The title of the movie raises up the curtain of a sci-fi horror movie that doesnt fail in its plot but the way of narration.Even the screenplay wasnt bad.
First of all, there are a few positives of the movie, I would like to discuss.
1.Good start to the movie flowing after a cool graphical titling. The bio-medical
labs, good rhythms at the background sets a lovely start.
2.Special effects that remains the magic charm of the movie.
3.Good performances by the actors and actresses, especially Milla.
4.When the plot subsides , after two of the crew recover from the memory loss.
Approaching the Faults, the list becomes huge.
1.Zombies, may be at first sight was a horror.Later becomes a frustation.
2.Stereo typed zombie movements , gunshots, mutilated structures.
3.Climax wasnt that stunning.
4.May be we should appreciate the make up team for zombie, would have been better if CGI was used.
5.The list is pretty big.
There are very good zombie movies and horror movies I had liked. With a very few pluses a movie cannot turn out to be a gripping horror and Resident Evil falls into this category, even though when the plot was good.
