Most of us( from India) would be aware of the Gujjar Agitation going on to gain the catagory of Scheduled Tribes(ST). My folks tell me of the action taking place in Delhi. Truck loads of Gujjars driving rashly through the city shouting slogans. Just looking at them one can surely determine the place they stand. The Gujjars of Rajasthan, classified as backward community, are up in arms demanding to be placed in the category of Scheduled Tribes(STs).
After the Indian independance, the already divided indian community was further divided into classes, some classes were provided with extra benifits because they were underprivilidged before independance . Its almost 60 years, and India is still dragging its culture and heritage with itself and also getting dragged are all the prejudices . They are ever present in the government bodies and the constitution as they were 60 years ago when they were thought of by the Congress to extract some more votes from the gullible civilians.
The only thing politics has ever done for India is doomed its progress.
But the question is why does a particular community gets so hellbent on getting itself registered as a backward scheduled tribe?
Well maybe thats the only intellectually bankrupt idea they can come up with to fill up those seats in the government bodies for which the general hard-working, well deserving students study so hard and in the end they get deprived as they get filled up by the quota protected, no good, motivation lacking people . At times I have personally seen that all they have to do is pass an examination( get 40%) to fillup the quota seats and general students with over 70% marks are denied.
So what is the result?
Let me ask another question to answer that here . What happens when people with no or very less intellect, hardly any skills and no manners fill up the government bodies? Answer is , take a look at the Delhi Police and you will know. What it results in, is, a country being governed by people who are more interested in filing up their own pockets with whatever they can than to actually feel motivated to work for the country’s benifit.
The Channels of India are doing a good job giving them all the hype they need to keep it on the Govt.’s tables.
Final Result - India stays a 3rd world nation .
