Ever since the evolution of cable network...we have seen number of news channels emerged. Doordarshan has become a thing of primitive ages...our upcoming generations shall no longer be able to remember that we ever had a govt. run body for day today news and information.
Though the Doordarshan never had catchy looks or beautiful newsreaders but one thing they always had and still they have , is the standard of information delivered to the common man. They never wasted 72 hours in following up a fallen kid n that too non stop. They have never been revolving only around this system...at least we were aware of international news. I think to get to know about international news god forbid we’ll have to have some really bad incident....how many of us remember the last international news we had on Aaj Tak, Star News, Zee Tv etc. .
Some bloody criminal died in far U.P..a chain snatching case in east delhi....water logging in Mumbai......broken sewer lines....what crap is this? Is this we call quality information or so called NEWS? American Air Force stationed Japan over a dispute with North Korea again on Nuclear Weapons....the International Space Station....and so many other.....what are they upto...do we have news channels or ad shops?
