Disappointing service

Had ordered a product online on the retechie.com site on 16th July 2024 vide Order ID: 17784. The Item was a Certified Refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad X270 i7 7th Gen 16GB Ram 512GB SSD with 2 Years Warranty. I had confirmed the delivery timelines with their customer care via whatsapp on number 817804xxxx and even spoke to them on the same number expressing the urgency of the purchase before deciding to go for it. Based on their assurance that I will receive the product within 4 days, I paid Rs. 999/- as booking deposit and the remaining as COD.


My problems started soon after booking. On 15th July 2024, when I enquired about the despatch status, I was told that the laptop selected by me wasn’t in good condition and therefore I would have to select an alternate product.


Due to the urgency of procuring the laptop, I again wasted much time shortlisting another one within a similar price range. This time it was a Certified Refurbished HP ZBook 15 G1 Core I7-4th Gen 16GB Ram 512GB SSD 2GB Dedicated Graphics with 2 Years Warranty. It eventually seemed to have been despatched but on 17th July. When I checked on the tracking link of Ecom Express(another terrible service provider) it showed as "Pickup Failed". The Retechie Customer Care person told me not to worry and reassured me again that it would reach me by 20th July.


It’s 24th July today. Despite all follow-ups and requests to cancel and refund the booking deposit, the customer care guy keeps repeating the same excuse - Please wait sir for 1-2 days. He even told me that his senior would call me to resolve the matter, but I never heard from him. What awful customer service!


I am really surprised to see all positive reviews here - I guess most of them are fake. Even before I got to experience the quality of their product, the buying experience has been so dismal that I am pretty sceptical about the company itself.


Am posting this review hoping that someone responsible at Retechie.com will reach out to me for a resolution or an empathetic reader might share with me the contact details of people who matter at Retechie.com.
