I Own a Mahindra Reva 4 seater e20 vehicle. As a concept it is good but as an owner you have to go through lot of pains if you are buying this car.
1) Always they will not have spare parts and you have to wait if any part needs replacement.
2) I don’t think they have a checklist for service, because whenever you give it for service they will try to fix what ever you have mentioned but they dont do a proper verification of other things.
3) My ac compressor in this car is not working now and they are telling that car has run 18000 kilo meters so ac usage has caused problem to compressor. Also they dont have an immediate spare compressor to replace, So I am using this car without ac from last one year.
4) I do have Maruthi swift which has run 85000 kilo meters and AC is still working fine. So I don’t understand how number of kilo meters is related to AC.
5) I reported the problem couple of times, they have just given me their managers number, who doesnot even lift the phone.
6) Like other cars you cannot get this car repaired by a different car mechanic. So you are locked to Mahindra for life and they have the full control
I strongly feel they are still experimenting it is not good for commercial use and my sincere advise wait for few more years and then only invest for electric car otherwise be ready to go through these kind of issues.
