I don’t have any qualms abt Chetan Bhagat not throwing more light on the type of revolution he was referring 2 ’cause we all know this is Chatan Bhagat who is not known 2 bore his readers to death!
I may say the storyline was depicted in a very romantic manner which will never fail 2 thrill d imagination of the reader.
However, what hurt me d most(as also criticized by Rituparna Chatterjee, IBN LIVE) wz indeed d ending which 2 say d least wz mst dramatic, brass nd corny 2 d limit. Chetan knows wat readers want out of endings nd should have had a more refined and complete ending esp. as his ending lines fr Gopal wz ’’u’r a gud person.’’
But nonetheless, I salute the master author who is indeed a master in playing with the feelings of d reader. The effect of a Chetan Bhagat novel(as wz also in d case of Rev. 2020) is such tat d emotional backlash would be felt fr days 2 come.
If asked fr a rating, I would rate d book 7.5/10.d positive rating mostly due 2 d lucid writing and d sweet romantic chapters; d negative rating mostly due 2 a corny and Bollywood type ending along with a lot of drama in d book!
