Don’t risk your life with Revv

Hi All, I would like to share my recent experience with Revv company through which I would like to caution all future potential customers of Revv car rental company


I had received delivery of Innvova crysta on 4th Jan as per my pre-booking. My family travelled from abroad and I booked this vehicle to spend quality time with my family roaming within and around Bangalore. I used the vehicle to pick up my family from Bangalore airport same night and all was fine the first day.However, i was totally unaware of the situation that was about to unfold the next day


I found the front tyre punctured and when I called customer care to inform them, I received the response that it was my( customer’s) responsibility to get it fixed at my own expense, as per their policy. Until that point, I thought it a minor issue and I will get it done within 30-45 mins although it was still waste of my valuable time which I was rather supposed to spend with my family. I got the mechanic called at my place and immediately got the front tyre replaced with spare wheel so that I could drive the car to puncture shop. After reaching puncture shop, I got shock of my life when I saw the condition of the front tyre ( pictures attached). The mechanic informed that the tyre’s condition was very bad as it already had several punctures fixed at the same spot. According to him, tyre should be replaced with immediate effect, else it could burst anytime. When i was just thinking of next step of calling Revvv helpline, the mechanic informed thag even spare wheel was punctured already. Upon hearing this, I lost my patience and made my mind to immediately return the vehicle as it was not in driveable state. With some series of calls, I managed to return the vehicle in the afternoon and thought i will seek written apology from the company later when I would have bandwidth


On 8th Jan, when I got free , I called up customer care and explained the whole situation and asked for a senior official to intervene and look into this case (hoping he/she will not only apologize for the inconvenience caused to me and my family but would also refund me the money).I spoke to senior official named Martin and explained the whole matter to him and he assured my voice would be heard and promised to revert back in 24-48 hrs


I was utterly shocked when I heard back from him today (12th Jan) that unfortunately nothing could be done from their side as I had driven the vehicle for almost 150kms before reporting the issue.


Now, key point here is that instead of having any remorse of putting my and my family’s lives at risk( remember front tyre could have bursted anytime when i was driving to airport the previous night), they showed indifferent attitude as if nothing major has happened and they took it very lightly


I will urge all to keep this is mind before choosing to go with Revv that they might be risking their lives and that they can only blame themselves, should any untoward incident happens later. Thank you Regards Mannu
