Mine is a 7290. I love it. right from the day my girlfriend’s friend said "IS THAT HOW A BLACKBERRY LOOKS.?!?!?!.CAN I TOUCH IT.?!?!?!" hehe.
So this is actually a very nice phone. I mean its an email device. It doesnt have cool ringtones. Leave alone cool.Its ring volume is too low.My record is having slept through 32 missed calls from one person trying to wake me up over my BB.
Keyboard is fantastic and if you learn the shortcuts, you are its master, and not the other way around.
One touch keypad lock, one touch to go to messages, sort SMS within messages, sort phone calls within messages, and what not.sort missed calls.anything.
I love the fact that we dont have one touch dialing. you need to click the trackwheel twice - prevents accidental dialing. has proved very useful to me.
Amazing search capabilities when groping through your emails.
Trackwheel is sturdy.
Before I forget, I should mention that it has become very slow lately.because of the number of mails it is storing now.also because I had downloaded a few games - I have Rooster, Spider Solitaire, Bass Assasin, and my FAV - meteroCrusher. it used to be faster.Maybe it was the themes that I downloaded.they are cool, but again made the instrument slower.
Askmenow is fantastic. While I am typing this, I have sent a question - "what is my name?". Lets see if I get the answer before I finish.
So yeah - you need to use both hands to type. No other go. otherwise its difficult to hold it in one hand and type at the same time.
Its bluetooth only supports voice for headphones. you cant send/receive data/pics to PCs.
If I switch off and on, it takes 5 - 10 minutes to come alive. The hour glass shows its too busy to hear your growns.
OK Ive put this phone easily more than 1 hundred times. It hasnt cried once. And no it wasnt on the sofa that I let it fall.
themes are good.but very limited.I have found only 2 yet.
browser is fantastic - again speed depends on airtel - When I went to California, Verizon gave me lightning fast browsing speeds.i would say, comparable to browsing on broadband.click and theres google.com.
reception volume maximum is not good enough. so as I said, it does its job of being a good email device very vell.not exactly a fantastic phone.
So Id say, if your company gives it to you, use it. I wouldnt recommend it for personal use. I recall the hutch BB ad "Blackberry to keep daddy away from office".nope - BB is to make the world your office.
