I just watched The Ring 2 on DVD just now, it just released on DVD, to be honest I was not such a big fan of The Ring 1, but I heard from lots of people that this movie was much better then the first one so I went out and got it on DVD. I was not disappointed, the only scary movies to me are: Night of the Living Dead The Candy Man Blair Witch Project (Part 2) Dead End (People if you seen that movie please let me know on comment section and tell me what you think of it) Now to add on that list goes Ring 2, Yes the movie made me jump at a few times, and I must admit that it was scary, maybe not as much as the above movies, but it would do the job to scare people who are afraid easily. The story goes like this, part 1 ends with Rachel making a copy of the tape with her son Aidan hands with hers. Part 2 is about Rachel and Aidan new start they move some place else and they start a new life with Rachel getting a new job as a reporter. But she discovers there is another copy of the tape in this town, she burns that copy. Then something weird starts happening to Aidan, He has a weird dream about Samarra, after that Aidan starts acting weird. He feels cold most the time, Aidan snaps pictures of himself in the mirror and Samarra appears in the picture (means she is close by) also reindeer attack the car and Aidan knew this before it happen. Aidan explains how she can always hear everything only when they sleep then she can not hear, because remember she never sleeps? Aidan explains how Samarra wants to come into this world by using him. Rachel has to find some way of saving her son from Samarra taking his place, she researches as she does in Part 1 and goes back to the old house and find out from there where Samarra mother is, She visits the hospital where Samarra was born. She finds out that Samarra birth mother wanted to kill her when she was born by drowning her but she was unsuccessful! Her mother is in a mental hospital for that even today, Rachel visits her. She talks to Samarra birth mother and ask her why she tried to kill her child, the mother said because “my child told me to”, she gave her a lot of advice and she said “you let the dead in” and “the only way to stop it and solve everything is kill your child!” Rachel said she loves her child, and then the birth mother of Samarra says “Listen to your child”. By the time Rachel came home it was too late Samarra is already in Aidan body. Rachel breaks down in tears, somehow she falls asleep and she talks to Aidan in her sleep (basically that’s where Samarra can not hear anything). Aidan says to her to end it all you are going to have to show her that she can not stay; you are going to have to kill her, meaning kill Aidan! As she remembers she has to listen to her child as she was told before to do that, He drowns Aidan/Samarra, the ghost Samarra comes out of Aidan body and does away! Aidan is saved, But the Ghost is still after Aidan, Rachel realise its always going to be like this, and The TV comes back on. The well is shown and Samarra rolls out the well! Rachel sacrifices herself! She knows all Samarra wanted was a mother, she says “Take me” She is then pulled into the TV, She is then found in the well, She then realises that the reason Samarra keeps coming back is because the well is half open, in order to make sure she is trapped in there for life is to close the well, she climbs up the well but Samarra appears, There is a race to the top! Now people watch this movie and find out if she makes it to the top to close the well forever! The Pros about this film are quite a lot, first one is that the story is more better then the first part and it is defiantly much more scary then the first part. I found the scenes below scary or very well done: . When the deer attacks the car it made me jump and I found it spooky how the boy knew that there was danger, when he says “Don’t stop!” . When Rachel discovers the pictures and the ghost Samarra is behind and she keeps getting closer in each shot taken, was down right spine chilling, the way she discovers them and the way the last shot was shown. Very well directed and great scene I am sure people will get spooks with that scene. . The bath scene when Aidan is taking a hot bath to warm him up because he is cold, and when the water is going everywhere is great to watch, very nicely done. Also the acting is very well done and the story is very good, there are a few bad things in the movie, Samarra did not look scary like she did in part 1, that’s the only thing to me that was better in part 1. Also one thing made me laugh and yes it made a lot of people laugh the way Samarra was climbing the well. I was like WHAT THE HELL! I was like “before she died she must have been good at sports” When I saw that. Also one dent in the storyline, this whole part could have not happen if they only closed the well in part 1, it is kind of stupid that it took two films to make to figure out at the end all they had to do was close the well lid on the top! But otherwise the movie was entertaining and I am glad that I watched it, okay sure why not I will give it a five stars go watch it! Because it is worth your 1hour and 40mins of your life to get scared! \/ Also please comment on my review please \/
