Had the most pathetic sales experience possible with Sugoi Motors Pvt Ltd (Ring Road Honda sub-dealership). I bought a new Honda City S MT (2013) model from them on 15th Jan and still regret the decision. The list of goof-ups by them is endless, but to summarize:
They lied to us at the time of the initial deal discussions while telling us that the entire insurance amount was to be waived off by Honda Motors as a special scheme on 2013 models. As it turned out later, it was only the "normal" insurance that was to be waived off - we were asked to pay an additional 5750/- for depreciation free insurance. We paid up this amount thinking that "dep free" insurance is an additional benefit that we are getting. However, after paying the amount we came to know that it actually was part of the total insurance that was initially promised free to us. We also got no receipt for the same!!!
After literally shouting at the top of our voice and creating a scene out there, their GM - Raman Kumar, who was avoiding us hitherto came out with his typical nonchalant attitude. After a lengthy debate, he finally agreed to give us a refund (after blaming his junior employee for the mistake and apparently charging the refund from his salary - so much for leadership!!). He also asked us to write a request for refund and stamped it, assuring that the refund will be paid to us ASAP.
Even after 1 month of repeated follow-ups, there was no news on the refund. Their customer Relations Manager - Ms Shalini who was in touch with us, assured us all through out that she would get the refund for us ASAP. She even mentioned a date on 2 instances - but of course did not honour those dates - a part of a deceitful franchise that she is!! After almost a month, she dropped us a mail that the refund cannot be processed. Didnt even have the courtesy to call us up!!!
At the time of delivery, we were made to pay 5 hours to get our vehicle. Even when all this drama was happening and we protested, the arrogant bloody GM - Raman Kumar did not even have the courtesy to come up and address our concerns.
There were a few accessories missing at the time of delivery - which they did not even check. We had to follow up with them repeatedly and personally visit them to get these accessories
There was no standard procedure that was followed at the time of delivery of the vehicle - no photographs, no car decoration - nothing. We were in for a rude shock!! It was literally as if they were doing us a favor by selling the car!!
They kept on delaying the delivery date on the pretext of lack of documentation and other trivialities. Even on the delivery date, they told us to get additional documentary proofs of residence without which they would not be able to process the car registration!! They did absolutely ZERO DUE DILIGENCE prior to that and could only think of this impediment at the time of delivery.
On one occasion we even reached the dealership (13th Jan, 2013), as a delivery of the vehicle was promised my their sales executive only to learn that the sales executive himself wasnt even present and no one else in the franchise had any clue about delivery of my car!!!!
There were multiple other problems that we faced which established beyond reasonable doubt that these are a bunch of thieves and deceitful individuals who do not understand the value of customer service at all!!! I am left with no other option but to lodge an official complaint against them in the police or consumer court for getting my refund.
PLEASE DO NOT DO ANY DEALING WITH THIS DECEITFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL DEALERSHIP IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY!
