Dance Forever Rio!!

The beginning of the 80ies comes on with a new musical sound called ?New Wave? with one of it?s masters, probably the ?Godfather? of this style, Duran Duran... The group flashes with the album ? Duran Duran? and with their second album released in 1981, Rio... New Wave, with its blend of rock and pop (close to today?s pop-rock), was a brilliant alternative for the youth of 80ies for it united the power of rock with the energetic style of pop.

Duran Duran was one of the pioneers for this simple but lovely melody style. Rio, was one of their best album ever, which could easily be termed as a ?masterpiece?. With electrical guitar solos and the brilliant vocal composition, the album holds a great musical treasury in possession. The album starts with the song same with the album name ?Rio?. This song tells the story of a girl called Rio. The lovely chorus part is unforgettable with it?s last words ?Oh Rio Rio dance across the Rio Grande?. I do suggest this song for u to listen cause perhaps Rio is the princess of the Rio Grande and the queen of the Duran Duran musical history.

The album? s other songs were hits as well which were well known and admired by the group?s fans. ?Hungry Like The Wolf? and ?Save A Prayer? are of special interest. They are 2 of the most greatest hits just like ?Rio?. ?Hungry Like The Wolf? with the fabulous usage of the electrical guitars and the extraordinary story of the lyrics, ?Save A Prayer? with the slow enchanting rhytym and the spectacular use of the synthesizer, shine like bright stars within the album. Watch for the glowing performance of the electrical guitar solo in ?Save A Prayer?. The other songs ?Last Chance On The Stairway?, ?Hold BackThe Rain? and ?New Religion? proove to be over average which u can still catch the nice sound and style of Duran Duran. Particularly ?Last Chance On The Stairway? is of attention with its rhytmic style. The remaining ?My Own Way? and ?The Chauffeur? are near the average but I dont think they will bore the listener. The album is a real milestone and a masterpiece especially standing with it?s greatest hits ?Rio?, ?Hungry Like The Wolf? and ?Save A Prayer?. Presenting the golden era of the group?s musical history it should certainly be listened particularly if u are keen on 80ies and on the ?now alas dead- music style New Wave.
