I went to watch Rishtey with friends.No one appreciated it.But I did.I think one has to be emotional to a certain degree to enjoy movies of this kind.I was really touched by the movie.But I think Shilpa Shetty was totally superfluous.The man’s dedication to his wife could be brought out by another more decent woman;s presence.Shetty, with her usual gyrations and undulations just diluted the richness of the story line.Karishma Kapoor is amazing.So is Anil Kapoor.The kid is so cute.
One word of advice:
Don’t go to watch this movie with people who u know have enjoyed stuff like Mujhse Dosti Karoge and Dil to Pagal Hai.
They are the ones who believe in puppy love .They think love is all about candle light dinners and roses and stuffed toys.When they see the hardships that love fetches, they call it ’’melodrama’’.
