Ritz is probably the oldest cinema hall of Shimla. It is located on the mall road and is one of the only two theater in Shimla which play new movies. I went there to watch "Dangal" with my friends, when we were new in the town. We booked our tickets online and were happy as one ticket costed around 70 rs. But once we entered the hall, all our happiness drained. It looked like a theater of the 90’s and we were here to watch some movie of "Mithun Chakraworthy". As tickets were booked we had no other option. The seats were seriously very uncomfortable. Even after 15 minutes of starting the movie the doorman didn’t closed the entry door. The screen was dirty and hence, lacked clarity. The sound systems were in pathetic condition and stopped working for about 5 minutes in the middle of the movie. After all this discomfort we were expecting a good time in the interval. But Ritz disappointed us here also, only popcorn’s and Samosa’s are sold, that too were half cooked.
Ritz was a misfortune for me and in my serious opinion visit this place only if you want to ruin your movie experience and time.
