Good summer treat for the family

It’s probably among the better summer releases from Hollywood - a rip roaring entertainer for all. Of course, it takes the usual animation flick formula of kid dreams big, gets lost in the big bad city, gathers a motley crowd for friends and eventually saves the day - much like Nemo, Bugs, Antz... But, it keeps you spell bound for 90 minutes quite easily.

From the prehistoric Ice Age to the futuristic Robot City, the production team has shown it can handle it all with aplomb. The animation is just too good. And the dialogues are cracking (’’It’s a fusion of jazz and funk... it’s junk!’’) to say the least.

And there’s something in it for everybody - my teenage daughter, eight year old son, wife and I all of us loved it.

We even want to buy a DVD for keeps later. Don’t miss it, folks.
