Just watched 2nd part of ROCK ON
Well, sorry to say but this one isn’t that much interesting what we all have expected,
Being a movie that revolves around music, the songs of the original really struck a cord with the audiences; the sequel fails to deliver.,
Shankar Ehsan Loy’s score is average at best. Despite Shraddha Kapoor giving one of her best performances and some heartwarming moments between the members of the original cast it is average by the other leads
Rock On 2 might not have a strong conflict in the storyline, but it definitely works as the narrative of a unique camaraderie among the boys.They have grown older, but haven’t lost their charm.
Like the 1st one, Rock On 2 moves to a rousing musical climax. The lead up to it isn’t very convincing, but it will give you goosebumps to see the fabulous Usha Uthup on a stage singing the Khasi-Hindi song ‘Hoi kiw Chalo chalo’. Shankar-Ehsan-Loy’s music in this film doesn’t match the brilliance of the original score, but the adrenaline is palpable. They create several high notes.
Overall I will say, just watch it if you are a fan of Arjun, Farhan, Shardha nd if you love the 1st one. Also to our northeastern people you shud watch for 1 time only,
But If you’re a band junkie, sit at home nd dont need to run theater, catch all your favorite band documentaries on Youtube.
