Work widely appreciated all over. The movie starts off with a bunch of close buddies who live in the world of music and share passion for rock music.Every character is simplistically passionate about soul lifting music.
Arjun Rampal is a specialist on guitar, Farhan Akhtar on the mike and two more friends on the musical instruments involved in a rock band.
Suddenly their fame reaches beyond their respective lives and they get a chance to make an album but the rift arrives during the making of the album when Arjun Rampal perceives Farhan Akhtar to be hogging the limelight.The friendship gets broken off after the issue and they get busy with their personal lives.
Farhan Akhtar is seen making a decent living in the financial stock market profession and is paired with the female of "Kasam Se" fame, the brainchild of Ekta Kapoor.He is getting promotion and prosperity but leads a reserved life style where his own wife has the urge to know more about him.
Arjun Rampal is leading a life full of hurdles in which he is barely able to chalk out a decent living and his wife is forced into his family fish business owing to it.
Farhan Akhtar’s wife plans for a reunion of all the friends for the sake of giving Farhan Akhtar a pleasant surprise.Arjun Rampal prefers maintaining a distance from Farhan Akhtar owing to past bitterness.
Farhan Akhtar’s wife is distressed with her husband’s aloofness and leaves his house and goes to her mother’s place.He in turn realises her grief and requests her to come back.The friends decide to get together burying the hatchet.
They decide to participate in a rock concert as a rock group but unluckily one of their friends is affected by brain tumour but he insists on being part of the musical event for the last time in life.
Emotions run high at that phase of the movie but Arjun Rampal’s wife dissuades from getting back to his past activiites and do serious work in order to earn his livelihood.She even goes to the extent of taking help from Farhan Akhtar in this regard.
Finally the rock concert day arrives and only three friends get to be a part of it with Arjun Rampal not managing to turn up due to his wife’s continuous bickering over the issue.But when all the friends dedicate a song close to his heart he cannot resist the temptation and breaks the shackles forcing him to retreat from the occasion.
The entire gang gets intensely motivated on the stage with Arjun Rampal’s grand entry.Then they deliver a rocking performance and resume their long lost friendship.
The movie relays a strong message on the worth of friendship which binds the souls together.
It also enlivens the magical charm of rock music.A well deserved applause for the creative piece of work.
