Below is a comment I posted on another website recently, after suffering through this movie on the first day of release. I was initially eager to watch this movie, and had a terrible time. I downed 6 shots of tequila in quick succession after exiting the theatre, printed 100 posters of this movie and set them on fire.
This movie is offensive to rock n roll! I hardly ever comment and when I do I post anonymously but this has ticked me off. This was supposed to be a movie about rock, and I agree with the review that it turned out to be a corny bollywood drama. People are supposed to relate on a personal level?
What kind of a demographic goes to watch a movie about rock wanting to get emotionally involved with the movie? Also, the music wasnt up to the mark. Too many lyrics + sounds like Javed Akhtar doesnt know a damn thing about rock & roll & based on some preliminary research decided to go with meaningless unrelated lyrics because thats how rock songs are, right? Not!
