I had to admit my dad due to Giddiness issues. We went to Rockland since we heard a lot about Dr. Amitabh. He advised my dad to get admitted. His fees was 2100. Also, he wrote some tests and asked us to get it checked before getting admitted. We showed the reports just 2 days after consultation, and even then he took his 2100 fees again. My dad got admitted and it was supposed to be around 10 days, but it kept on extending and eventually it was a 20 day. Doctor attitude was extremely rude. Staff was ignorant - At one instance nurses forgot to give my dad insulin(which is very dangerous), once they came to give him medicines which were already given(nurse forgot to update the sheet), once injection in their pharmacy got over and asked us to get it and doctor said that if you will not get it, they will have to repeat the course of 1 week injections(it was last dose). My dad caught severe infection and we requested doctor to release him. He was rude and reluctant. Just the next day of release, my dad’ sugar came down to 40 and was not going up. we called Dr Amitabh and he asked us to get some drip from nearby hospital(we were staying in Gurgaon). Also, he said that medicine given by other Rockland doctor(for diabetes) was too hard. Till night sugar kept on going down. we went to Max gurgaon in emergency. we found out that my dad’s creatinine shot up to 5.2. He was kept in ICU for 4 days and doctor were contemplating giving him dialysis(which would have become a lifetime thing). Luckily, it started coming down(although never cae down to his original baseline of 1.7). Eventually, he had to stay in Max for a week just because of improper care in Rockland.
Would request all of you to stay away from this hospital. They are simply money rippers
