OH! my god finally I am on my way reviewing other so called famous ISP in India and I must say that this September month is really turning out to be a good month for me.Really I am putting hands on some famous ISP’s in India and trying them out.The only cons I find is the increasing telephone bill but then you must find at least one ISP to which you can stick and to which will I stick I shall decide that by this September End.
RoltaNet turned out to be a famous ISP after the Technology Magazine CHIP(now changed to DIGIT in India) rated it.
RoltaNet was called out to be the BEST ISP in the city Mumbai.Me begin a resident of this city decided to try out their service.
With my pocket money being just 100 bucks per month I was unable to buy their pack, so I decided to go the other way round and dialed my friend who used their service and got his Password for just a checkout to their service.
My friend convinced me by saying that GO AHEAD they offer a good speed, so I decided to take some time and try them out.
So I finally have my password and user ID and am ready to fly off.So let me start by breaking their service rating in detail.

REGISTERING

As said above I did not register , my friend did, but still then I went ahead and tried out their email form and other forms available on their site and found it to be quite handy.When I mean other forms I mean forms such as FORGOT PASSWORD and other forms which come after you log in.Well registering stands a part and I would not like to highlight this anymore.
The cons in with their service is that you have to provide your full email ID when you LOG IN, I mean if you type ’’sunil’’ in your Dial up box it will do you no good, you have to type the full user ID like sunil@rolta.net.(hey that’s what I had to do)

CONNECTING

OH! NO connection have always been a problem when it comes to dialing a ISP because you always fear whether you will be able to connect in first attempt.
And if you they will connect you the first time, then you can start your fear now.
I found it easy to connect during day time and in the evening time they were busy.
Dial 2-3 time and you are on.So these guys fall behind when you Dial.
DIAL THEM ON NUMBER 172301 TO CONNECT TO THEIR SERVICE, ONE NUMBER MANY PROBLEMS.

CHECKING SPEED

I thought CHIP magazine meant their words when they said good speed is what they provided and if this is what they call Speed then I better move and check another ISP.
Really speed was really slow and as for my friends words, I check out his place as I wanted to know as what he meant when he said good speed.
Believe me web page loading in 1-2 minutes is what the called SPEED term really related to.
Great I said, and was happy that I did not make a wrong move to buy their service pack.

CUSTOMERS SERVICE

I really like it on this side of the cake, when it comes to checking out customer’s service, I really like asking query’s and getting answers to it.
Well I would say that these guys really have a very good customer’s service and the guy on the other side really helped me out with every query.Well they have at least full marks in this term.

I would that in today world when new ISP’s are showing up, you really need to be on the top eating the cherry and you are one step you loose the cake from top.
these word’s should be realized by the Team on Roltanet and they should try to improve, and they really can then they might take away the whole cake with the cherry too.

Well as I have cut their whole service into pieces and put them in front of you, it’s up to you now as to what you need to do.Stick to your current one which may be good or rolta which is not at all good.
I would not recommend this service to anyone, but if they are ready to improve then I am sure to take back my words.

LITTLE MORE BY MY SIDE

ISP need to be perfect from all side in respect to web page too.Check out their portal it seems to be of no use, except some links to some stuff which is of no use.
Their USED ID concept really sounds to be great, but it’s a different style isn’t it, after VSNL they stand out to be just one doing something similar.
Their Starter Kit also is good and contains some useful stuff.
