I am an ex student of Rosary school Pune , in the many years that I have spent at Rosary, I have been well disciplined and the standard of academics has been outstanding. The true foundation that has led me to be a senior manager in a fortune 500 MNC. Its the real reason I have admitted both my children back in the same school. Its true there should be a playground for the school but in todays day and age a privately run institution which charges a merger 1500 rupees a month can hardly afford such a facility in Pune camp area where real estate is at such a premium.
There has been a huge hue and cry about the fees being charged by the school, but this has been by only a handful of politically motivated parents, coz on the many occasions that I visit the school for meetings or paying the fees I have interacted with a huge number of parents who are extremely happy with the school. The senior Mr. Aranha was the head of the school when I was studying there. Now Mrs. Pereira is the principal and a strict one at that. I guess its for the best for my children.
The schools now being owned and headed by Mr. Vinay Aranha have spread far and wide with when I last checked at a PTA meeting held in March 2011 had a total strength of well over !4000 children and 8 campuses. Thats a very commendable achievement in educating young India.
I guess parents have to realise that a private institution has to run on its fees as there is not a single rupee of aid from the govt which the school recievs from the govt as told to us parents in the school calander. I just wish for the sake of good future citizens that such politically inclined parents should stay away from the school environment and let the school function in peace. There are govt run schools for such parents. If anyof the parents are unhappy about the fees then they should put their children there. Its just because the school is so good that these parents dont want to take out their children .. in todays world where there is so much competition the school has achieved 100 percent results for nearly 4 decades contuniously. These troublesome parents should have some shame when they falsely accuse the teachers and management. I am extremly happy with the school and so are a majority of parents. I guess one has to live with the fact that there will always be some rotten apples around like these few foolish parents who always want to fight. on the whole I truely feel this is a great instution which has produced the highest quality of students over the past half a century.
