While watching Rowdy Rathore it is difficult for anyone to say it was a bad movie. It was a below the belt comedy, the type of the movie that you enjoy watching once in cinema hall and forget about your day to day issues. Was the movie a masterpiece - No. Will I watch it again in cinema hall - No. Will I watch it if its coming on TV - Yes.
More than anything I am happy for Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Finally he made a movie that made him money. Indeed the movie is a typical boiler plate masala movie very unlike the class movies that he produces. However at the end of the day he also needs to make the money and he has shown that he can even give dirt if thats what public like.
The performance by everyone was top notch. Movie doesn’t leave any scope for any other person except Akshay Kumar. He shined in the performance. Sonakshi was good in whatever miniscule role she got but then again her role had nothing to offer. This could easily have been done even by Nargis Fakhiri.
