“There is no sincerer love than the love of food.’’
-George Bernard Shaw
BACKGROUND: The famous food-joint of Lucknow is owned by the owners of the Marxmen, Motimahal, Minimahal, all
situated in the heartland of Hazratganj, the casanova market (notice the sanctity attached with the letter ‘M’).
These people are responsible for making Muman’s Royal café a successful and most-sought after food –joint of Lucknow , by refreshing the taste and quality of food served.
JARA HAT KE:
The Tehzeeb(Manners) of lucknow , the Lazeez(Tasty) avadh cuisine, Nawabi andaaz fascinates most people and Lucknow city is famous for food with marked speciality.
You will be amazed to know that in old Lucknow there are some shops (Dhabas)which are owned by the great grandsons of those bawarchi’s or chefs that has cooked FOOD for Nawabs of Lucknow…these dhabas are known for Kacche Keeme ke Kababs (Raw meat of Lamb finely ground and then fried), seekh kabab, kalmi kabab, Tangri kabab and Biryani ( a baked dish prepared by mixing rice and lamb meat). These Dhabas don’t have names as such and are known from their location !!!!!!
Tat nawabi , baat nawabi….wah teri kya baat hai!!
Mirch-masala :
Though Lucknow’s richly flavoured Avadh-cusine is savoury and the food is specially known by the quality and quantity of spices !!
KHANA-KHAZANA:
As Iam a veggie so I won’t be able to describe exactly how the non-veg dishes tastes like here….but what my others family members and friends liked most here are specialities like- Tangri kabab(murg), Murg tikka, Fish tikka Paneer seekh kebab priced between 60 to 150 rupees.

Abhi aur bhi hai:
There is a nice banquet hall which is always packed with some kind of party or kitty going on.
At the entrance you will find an ice-cream parlour and chat-corner and people savoured these items standing or sitting in the open , enjoying the scenary…the place is popular as in front of this we have a cinema-hall named Sahu
TIP: This place is always packed with families in the evening .If you wish to have fun with friends or family , go in the forenoon.
Saregama:
You will hear two kindes of music-noisy sounds of chatting and music played in the background…….
Mehmannawazi (Service):
Staff is nice and committed to the motto of the restaurant that is” to serve their customers quality food”.
The service is fast and depends on the rush / turn , but you have to wait for your menu for atleast 15-20 minutes
Reservations: Please wait for your turn!! Don’t want to hear this then go for reservation in advance.
If you are going to dinner make it sure you have made a reservation in advance or you have to depend on your luck.
As if you haven’t reserved your table then you will have to wait (maybe an hour!!) to get a free table.
TIP: If you tipped the waiter handsomely then you won’t have to take pain for the service or for table next time and always….
Padosan ki kitchen:
It’s neighbourhood contender is a restaurant called “CAPOOR’s” which is good only in terms of grandeur/ Interiors and sitting arrangements but food is not quality here.
Meri Pasand:
Soups like sweet corn soup, Talumien soup and Cream of Mushroom Soup at a price of 40 rupees .
