This is a popular restaurant of Thane city, located conveniently on the Eastern Express highway, definitely worth a ’’dekho’’ while you pass through Thane.
The restaurant is quite spacious compared to its Mumbai counterparts. It caters to the business and family crowd quite conveniently with a family section at the top and a bar cum restaurant in the basement.
I find this place well suited for casual business get-togethers and a comfortable joint for mixing business with pleasure - at leisure. The place is large enough to accommodate unexpected crowds. So generally you can get a place without advance reservation. The food is quite good. Though I am a veggie and a teeto, my friends vouch for the Konkani seafood served here. I do find the basement sometimes stuffy and the hotel management should take extra steps to freshen up the air.
If you want to give the family a sumptuous and a lavish surprise, then Royal Challenge fits the bill! Late evenings are best time to visit for a better experience.
