I have been a Royal Enfield user for more than 15 years now. Have used Standard(Cast Iron) 350 and then upgraded to Lightning 535(Cast Iron) and now have moved on to Standard 500(UCE). This is by far the best Motorcycle from the steed of Royal Enfield
More comfortable
Good Mileage(I get > 35 kms on regular rides)
Less Maintenance(When compared to the previous CI engines I have used)
No Oil Leakage
No major trouble(Except for the weak Clutch cables)
Minus is you dont get the thump of the previous CI engines.after changing my exhaust to Grease house.am feeling better.now that I have done more than 18k kms I feel I can give a good review about this bike
Changed the exhaust at 6k after my 2nd service and good performance improvement in my bike.it can comfortable cruise at >100 kms.have done top speed of 130+
Challenge is getting serviced by the company service guys.they are a pathetic lot and know nothing about RE.we need to hunt for right mechanics who will fit in to your wave length
This bike is like a kid.you take care of it.it would take care of you.no challenges till date and am very comfortable
