I remember my childhood days when my uncle use to come to our home with his bullet STD 350cc. Hearing exhaust beats of bullet I use to run to balcony to see him . I was always fascinated by its exhaust beats. I use to watch him while starting the royal king.
2- months before my birthday uncle told to my Dad that he will be selling Bullet, immediately I showed interest to purchase it, but he was quite. I was surprised when he gave me legend as a gift on my birthday in 1987, I was very happy to see a well maintained 1970 model joined my Yezdi Roadking in garage.
I have used Bullet STD to see most of the places in India with my friends with there Yezdi Roadking, Mumbai – Agra – Delhi- Chandigarh-Amritsar- Gwalior- Indore -Mumbai.
Mumbai-Goa -Mysore-Mumbai.
Mumbai-Hyderabad-Shrishylam-Tirupathi-Mumbai.
In February 2009 I had Mumbai-Shirdi-Shegaon-Mumbai on my 39 years old Bullet STD without any trouble. Bullet is very comfortable for me as I am 6’.1 & 105 Kg.
My Bullet STD is Black with Micuni carb which gives me mileage of 25-30 Km/lit .
Huge Crash guards, & big rear Mudflap, gas rear suspension(fitted in 2008).
4-stroke single cylinder, 347 CC engine, generating 18 bhp at 5000 RPM, torque 32 Nm at 3000 rpm, with 4 speed gear on right side with neutral finder.
To start Bullet STD one has to move key to “on” position, engage decompression liver, push kick liver half till ammeter needle deflects to left & comes to middle position, when ammeter needle is at middle position release compression lever & push kick liver completely, now you can hear fascinating exhaust beats(Dhuck-Dhuck……) & you are ready to ride on this 167 Kg machine.
It is one of the great cruiser bike with great reliability, comfortable seat, handle bar, excellent front & rear shock absorbers wide wheel base for better grip on any condition of road, good braking system & neutral finder which makes handling & controlling of Bullet STD very easy .
You feel as Royal king when you are riding this bike & people looking at you.
I would recommend Royal Enfield Bullet bike for long tours or those who are tall & need to travel more than 50 Km / day.
