THe good old bullet is still one of the best bikes available in INDIA and it is said to be the best for another decade or more I feel
the average is fair --- but for a 350cc bike it is good for the power and stability it produces it is one of the legendary bikes of all times
the off road handling is also good and it is smooth on tough roads -- people in gujarat use it as a rickshaw in which it pulls almost 8-9 people at a time
the iron engine was more reliable than the present aluminum one but the aluminum engine is good for pickup and mileage and it is lighter than the iron one and therefore the solidity of the bike has somewhat reduced and like all the present bikes the aluminum engine isnt built to last too long like the iron one
and now the most important thing the BIG BOYS CONCEPT IS TOTALLY STUPID TO SAY FOR THIS LOVELY BIKE EVEN MY YOUNGER BROTHER CAN HANDLE IT BEAUTIFULLY
THE LOOKS OF THE BIKE DOES GIVE A RIDER THE BIG BOY LOOK BUT IN MY OPINION THE BIKE , , IF LEARNT PROPERLY, , THEN ANYONE CAN HANDLE IT AND IT IS THE SAFEST BIKE TO RIDE ON
the riding position of any bullet is great for city as well as highways or villages where bullet is still a favourite vehicle
all in all I feel that the bike offers a lot for its price
u cant get stability(350-cc), LOOKS , safety , performance(18 bhp) and ruggedness in any other bike than Bullet
Truly it is the king of Indian roads

Well to add to my review I recently drove a 350 machismo and really feel that this piece of machine is yuck ... I really mean it the machismo sucks
1 No same noise of the legendary bullet
2 Light weight ( to increase pickup and mileage) but who really cares for mileage on the bullet.
3 The original stability of the bike has been strongly affected on the machismo.
4 It feels like you are riding a light weight ordinary bike
5 the left side gears are for the people who are not acquainted to ride the original right side and the bike has been modified for that reason but as a true bullet freak I feel that the fun in riding a bullet is to learn the way to ride it the original way otherwise there wouldnt be a difference in a TRUE bullet and an ordinary bike.
My friend got one and after 10000 kms done we casually took the machismo and my 1990 model to pune and back. My bike is freshned up as it got the regular abuse it asks for and the machismo is in the garage for new pistons as the engine could not handle the long run(135 kms + 135 kms back).
Buy only the original bullet and add gas shocks to it that is the only option left, the others are not up to the BULLET standards.
The bullet is legendary
