I had RE Thunderbird since 2005 & had to sell it since it didnt have self start. I was finding it difficult to kick start(May be age was catching up). After riding a bullet for 12yrs, no other bike could satisfy me. Hence I settled for RE Classic 350. In less than a year I had to change clutch plate. Though it wasnt very smooth, I continued to ride. After running for around 8000kms I have same issue repeating. I feel the company has not bothered much to fix shifting gear issue since the time I had my first bull 15yrs ago. Ive spoken to many RE owners, most of them have same issue. I guess you should get your basics right first.
