Hi Riders,
I am a 1st Time Owner of a Motorcycle and I couldnt think of buying anything else than the Legend - Bullet.
For past 15 Years I have been driving 4 wheeler but due to the increasing petrol rates and constant increase in traffic my daily commuting to work became a bit hectic after which I thought of buying a 2 Wheeler.
This is my review on ownership of RE Classic 500 for 7 Months and after completing 5000 Kms.
1st on the problems faced:
- Oil Leakage from one of the rivet placed on front side of the engine block on the Oil Filter side.
Solution as per RE Service Center: Complete dismantle of the engine to fit new rivet.
Spark Plug burnt @ 3500 Kms. New Spark plugs fitted which needs to be cleaned every 1000 Kms.
Rear Tyre - MRF Zapper: Not fit for riding during Monsoons or on Slippery Surface need to be extra careful. Limited Grip and lacks emergency stopping ability. I used my Car for commuting to Office during the monsoon refraining myself from using the CL500 due to the thought of slipping on the road.
Rear Shock absorbers started making a screeching sound after 4000Kms for which the Bushing were required to be changed cost Rs.250.
Poor Metal and build quality of tool box: It never opens, I was able to open it only once after trying hard on the day of purchase of the bike. The hinges have started rusting already.
Now the Best part: Advantages or Superior quality of the CL500.
Others Envy My Pride.statement is perfect when your ride a CL500 around the block. You have constant onlookers and Admirers when you stop at a Red Light of park your bike. The ride is comfortable, Engine is responsive with Good power, Handling is superb in traffic or during long rides.
Keep Thumping!
