I owned 500cc classic EFI last month.I had a 350cc electra before. I have already completed 1500k on my new bike. Went on 400K long tour. It was very comfortable. The amount of power it generates just blows your mind. Its awesome. Mileage is 30 in city and 37 on highway.You cant expect any more from a 500cc bike. You can easily maintain a speed of 100k/hr for a very long time provided you have good driving gears. As of looks it’s the best except of the scooter style driver seat.
Although it is very comfortable, much more than the seating in the Electra 350. handling is same as any RE bike. It is difficult to drive in traffic owing to its huge bulk. As of the reliability, I dont think 500cc efi is any more reliable than any other RE bike.RE is not quite known for its component build quality. Requires very keen observation on every part of the bike. If you know your bike in and out, you dont have to fear anything.
As a RE driver, you cant be ignorant about your ride.
