Ok I learnt driving in a royal enfield bullet 350 cc 1999 model one of the best machines I have seen an felt the best thing about it is though it has low mileage compared to the new generation vehicles like pulser etc etc. the British designed vehicle is reliable and best of all safest thing on two wheels(this can be guaranteed by me) and has better handling to offer .Sadly they modernized the and changed the engine I have to say the original thumping sound of the royal enfield is lost ......OK the royal enfield company is concentrating on their new venture that is their classic 500 cc it was designed itself trying to reduce the sound of bullet (whose idea was that I wonder ) disappointing 1000s of bullet lovers.
I bought the new classic 500 cc bullet which started a engine missing within one month which was not even explained by the service men the classic 500 cc does not have a carburetor and the fuel injection is electronically controlled it seems some kind of designing problem that the vehicle developed the missing the manufacturers wanted to make the vehicle complex as the bullet was easy to maintain by even local mechanics while it has only to offer an average mileage of 22km/liter it weighs 50 kg more than the standard bullet and is lengthier so it is more difficult for handling and has a huge turning radius yet while you ride it people tend to stand away and stare at you and it has amazing torque no 2 wheeler can match its power and looks that I can assure you while you need real guts to ride it
