When it comes to classic bikes, there is one bike manufacturer that comes to our mind in the first place. Royal Enfield, has been selling bikes in india since 1949. It has been one of the most trusted and loved bikes in Indian market.
The Desert Storm 500 is a beautiful machine, with a 500cc, single cylinder, 4 stroke, spark ignition, air cooled, OHV engine produces 41.3 Nm of torque.
Headlight casing features the “Tiger Eye Lamps” for the Bullet look.
The silencer is designed aesthetically to give it the classic look.
The tank is has thigh pads and has a post war era looks.
It has a 5 Speed and does a nice job.
The bikes easily touches the speed of 100 km/h. But after the 110 km/h mark, I noticed the vibrations. The riding is not so smooth at or beyond this speed.
The suspensions are really good. But the spring units can be a little discomfortable during the long distance trip, as the sprint seats begin to sag.
I’m not gonna say a word about the milage, as no one who owns and wants to own an RE really thinks about the milage.
Its a beautifully designed bikes and a classic indeed in all possible way.
