Today I am going to tell you twelve reasons why not to buy Royal Enfield Himalayan.
No fuel Injection- Carburetor on a bike having a worth of 1.5 lakh is not a good decision. The company claim that carburetor is set up only to go till 12000 feet and most of the interesting places in the himalayas are way higher then that.
Oil Seepage Problem- The himalayan Engine is not leak proof oil seepage problem still continues. The bike still markes the territory like other Royal Enfield do.
Lost Trademark Thump- Himalayan is not having the trademark thump of sibling . So, if you are looking for the thump go for any previous production of Royal Enfield.
Bad fitting and quality of parts- Himalayan has got some parts of really bad quality and fitting of some parts is not proper.
Inefficient Brakes- The himalayan comes with the front and rear disk brake but they are not that efficient due to their brake pad. Front disk is of 300mm which would have been 20mm more bigger.
Top Speed(Enfield 350: 130kmph, Himalayan 410: 134kmph) - The Royal Enfield bullet 350 is having a top speed of 130kmph and the Himalayan having a 410cc engine is having a top speed of 134kmph.
Headlamp- They are given a halogen lamp instead of projector lamp. Which is given in royal enfield own the Thunderbird.
No 6th Gear- There is no 6th gear in the bike which decrease the cruising speed of the Himalayan.
Cruising Speed( Enfield 350: 90 to 100kmph, Himalayan 410: 90 to 100kmph)- Even after the hicks of 60cc the cruising speed is still same as the bullet 350cc. That is 90 to 100kmph.
No ABS- There is no option of ABS in this bike. Which is major drawback in this bike.
No Tubeless Tyres- There is no tubeless tyres on this adventure tourer and dealing with tube puncture on a long trip is always a headache.
Heavy Clutch- Clutch is heavy which create difficulty in slow moving traffic.
