There is a little story how I got myself my Thunderbird.
Got myself silver TBTS on 16th of march and it just happened.
I was plannig for getting myself skoda fabia and added some money for that but when it came to final day I got myself my dream bike. Me and my friends in college used to dream of havin bullet one day n day finally came I bought myself TBTS and my friend got Electra.
I was goin to book car and the Royal Enfield showroom came in my way I thought just go in and have a look at new Thinderbird and it took my heart away.
I asked the salesman their that how much time will it take for delivery, he told abt 10 days, I told him i’ll pay full cash rightnow and want delivery today then the owner came and told me by evening you can get it your silver TBTS.
I gave him the money and went back home waiting for delivery.
Back home I told my Dad about it, he told r u joking.
I told my wife she said really.
Yes, I have done it because I am gettin old and soon be father this is my last chance when I can have my dream bike.
I called my friend saying I am gettin our dream and in reply he told me same that he is gettin Electra.
Then all fine in evening when I went to take delivery the owner welcomed me and showed my bike there it was shining silver and crome couldn’t take my eye away for a second.
All paper work got ready by that time and he gave me keys of my Thunderbird.
I took her to mandir got puja done and came back home took my wife for small ride not for long as she is pregenent.
Then in night after dinner went for long ride abt 150kms came back and couldn’t sleep for night as my dream came true.
*Design:
*Looks nice in all 3 colours thankfully those dual tone paint job is gone in TBTS.
Nothing else is changed except the engine. Still no one come closer in looks.
Getting changed to chrome alloy wheels & tubeless radial tyres, genuine leather saddles & old bottle shape silencer.
*Engine:
*350cc, 20bhp 0-60 in less than 6 secs faster than all those japense toys.
very good braking system, front disk is more than enough.
no such problems such as false neutral if you keep your left foot little heavy on gear.
Better clutch very soft now.
*Comfort:
Very comfortable for both city and highways.
But still I feel suits highways, better for long trips planning for leh and ladhak me and my friends on our own Bullets.
Getting around 38kmpl in city, as done only 1350kms till now.
Very good experience till now few problems such as, got dead battery so no auto-start working will be replaced in 2-3 days.
