Is it a resort or multi-storeyed complex?

Last summer, when we decided for a trip to Goa, we made a booking through RCI. We were alloted a room at this hotel which supposedly near the Benaulim Beach in South Goa.

Just from the beginning, a lack in customer service caught my eyes. I travelled from the airport to the resort in a taxi and found that the resort is in middle of nowhere. The casual attitude of the bell boys startled me, as this is not my first stay at a resort. The resort consists of numerous three storeyed apartments, each being a living unit. Our living unit consisted of one kitchen and drawing room clubbed into one and on the second floor. There is a pool in the centre of the resort and if you by chance get to stay near it, you will loose all the peace in your life because of the chaos in the poolside. I somehow felt that most of the people wanted to eat, sleep and drink in the pool itself.

The room was average in standard, but the cooking appliances were hopeless in working. The room service was inefficent, and it would require several calls in order to make them budge. However the food was good (only plus point) and even if u went for a-la-carte or room delivery it wasn’t that expensive.

One thing to be amazed about is the drinking water supply. You will have to do it yourself, and YES you have read it right. After every 5-6 apartments there was a filtered water section where you would have to fill the water yourself.

In the brochure you will find it written that the beach is 10 mins walk. Its much longer and if you are accompanied by elderly people then you are in a fix. Due to all this, we were a bit shocked, and cut short our trip to goa and went back to mumbai after 5 days stay.
