I’ve lived
in Jordan
my entire life, and the stories you used to hear about Royal Jordanian were
horrible. But in the last five years those stories have gone from negative to
very positive. The last time I flew RJ was in 2002, when I travelled to Dubai when the service
was average. I flew one month ago to Aqaba, only an hour flight from Amman. And it was one of
the best flights I have ever been on. We were on an Embraer 195, a brand new aircraft in the Royal
Jordanian fleet.
Upon
arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, I was expecting a lengthy wait at
the check-in counters as it always seemed to be a bit of a problem at the airport,
but to my surprise they had all of them open making it very fast and efficient,
I had got ride of my bags had my boarding pass and I was ready for the flight
within twenty minutes of being at the airport. The cabin
crew of two, was very friendly young and courteous. Despite the flight being extremely
short they provided the option of a hot meal, which looked and tasted
delicious. In-flight entertainment
was turned on, but it only showed the news and comedy shows.
Overall
this was an excellent experience with RJ and I will continue to fly with them.
