Avoid it like the plague

Check in: When we arrived at the hotel at 3.00PM, we were told that our roomswere not ready. We had advanced reservations and check in time was 2.00PM! We were asked to wait for a few minutes. After a half hour when nobody called us, we went back to the front desk and were told that the rooms were ready(a long time ago). Somebody should have called us to inform that the rooms were ready - we were just sitting in the lunge area by the side of the front desk.


Rooms: Bathrooms were drab.


Lighting was extremely poor. The few lights that were working in the bathroom seemed to go on and off at their own will. The flush was not working - inspite of complaining to the front desk no repairs were done.


Front door: My colleague had great difficulty opening his front door - the key would not work. We called the front desk(from my room) to inform them about the situation - after several calls(and several promises of 5 minutes), somebody came by -after 60 minutes to correct the situation. In the morning my colleague found that he was now locked in the room - again we had to seek the help of mechanics to openthe door.


Room service: We ordered snacks in the room - after one hour they were still not delivered. When we were in the restaurant - 90 minutes after we had ordered the snacks in the room, they were served. I asked for some pepper for the steak that I ordered and they just could not find any pepper at the hotel!


I have travelled extensively over the last 20 years and this was easily one of the WORST stays I have experienced - definitely ranks in the top 3 worst stays.
