I personally dont recommend any one to go for Royal Sundaram Car Insurance. I am having Maruti 800 since 5 years and was happy with Oriental Insurance which was tied with Marui directly. Now each and every zone can go for any insurance organization they like. Mandovi Motors JP Nagar have tied up with Sundaram Car Insurance.
The story starts now: My car was hit from front by a tempo and a bike on the left on Bannerghatta Road on Friday, 6 November, 2009 at about 8:30pm. I went to Mandovi Motors, JP Nagar on Saturday but could not leave my vehicle as the insurance consultant does not work on weekends(this sounds stupid). I took my car back and used it till Tuesday, 11 November, 2009.
Went to Mandovi early morning on Wednesday, 12, 2009 and left my car for regular servicing and the damage repair. The service part is done the same day (and believe me Servicing at Mandovi Motors JP Nagar is awesome). But the insurance guy had come to investigate on the car and approved the front damage and rejected the left body damage stating that its an old damage. I had to call that guy about 5 times to let him know that it was me who was driving the car and I know what happened.
Today again I had to call him and he says that he has forwarded the pics of my car to his seniors and would get back to him tomorrow. I don’t really understand that why this mess for a damage which is not even worth Rs.10, 000. Such stupid insurance organization.
Really painful as I need the car as soon as possible and these so called Royal Sundaram Insurance guys have wasted my two days. Believe me if my car insurance claim is not passed for the left side damage I would be going to Consumer Court no matter how much amount or time it takes for me as I want to teach this Sundaram Motor Insurance organization a lesson for testing patience of consumers. But guys please don’t go for royal sundaram car insurance.never never never.
