My WagonR was parked when it was hit by a bus from front which then got a jerk and hit another bus from behind on 21July 2011. The rear glass broke and dicky got damaged with minor cracks in front. Immediately within 10 mins of damage took it to Vitesse Service centre prabhadevi, Mumbai to apply for insurance claim and filled in the claim form giving all details. The car was bought from Vitesse in Jan 2009 and as it has tie up with Royal Sundaram I opted for the company and religiusly paid the premiums on time last 2 years. For this particular accident case, It was mutually decided by the service centre and me that I shall apply only for rear glass and dicky as in Mumbai minor front cracks are normal.
Next day I again called Vitesse to confirm that Insurance will be claimed for Rear end and Go ahead with the procedure. Same day within one hour of my conversation with Vitesse, Royal Sundaram surveyor called me and said that Vitesse had started minor repairs before his survey and he will need an email from me that there was some misunderstanding between me and Vitesse about the claim! I said what the Hell how is it possible to start work not even before an hr of my talk and Morever when the service station knows the procedure of Survey, etc. I still emailed RS expaining the case. I even asked my driver to immediately go and have a look at what was happening. As per him, the glass was broken and only a plastic was covered to save the seats from rains and on the dicky, only there were some scratches which vitesse was trying to scrap. Now the situation after 10 days, insurance says Vitesse started the job, vitesse says everything was INTACT! I said if surveyor feels work has started on DICKY, what about the glass that was still broken and in the same state as I had given? Atleast Ill claim the GLASS DAMAGE. BUT NO RESPONSE on that. and the RS is giving all CRAP REASONS to not accept the claim. I tuk it up wth Mr. Mahendra Singh who is a senior manager but he too running around the bushes to prove their point, . Who should we believe the service staation or the insurance company? I believe evryone is HAND IN HAND to extract money from the Customers. AT THE EXPENSE of our premium, the service centre and RS just make money on the intereset and FOOL the customers who religously follow the procedure!
