We were dedicated Royal sundaram policy holders for past many years until 2019.It used be a good and all claims were settled before 2019.We were enrolled in family policy for my parents and myself and were paying close to 18000 Rs. In the past RS(Royal Sundaram) paid the claim for my moms ligament surgery, dads back surgery and varicose but this ear during 2019, my mom did a knee replacement surgery for which RS promised that we are eligible for claim and we went ahead and got my mom admitted in the hospital.The Dctor also treated us well at the hospital and the executive who was handling the bills told that RS approved the settlement and then we got discharged from the hospital.However, days passed and became months and still RS did not settle the claim. Several times my dad approached RS and the response from them was not good. He at some point got frustrated due to RS lethargy and non action and he discontinued the policy that we were holding for years togeather.If we had to take a new policy, for artheriti or knee replacement with some other insurance company, we have had to wait for atleast 2 to 3 years to make a claim.It is affecting us financially and psycologically.Also, the hospital was not paid the billed amount and we feel bad for the surgeon who did a really good job with treating my mom. I will never recommend RS to anyone.They are not the same anymore.
