Royal Sundaram’s Hospital Cash Plan - Do not venture I have Hospital Cash Policy CSE0002980000101 with Royal Sundaram for me and my wife. Premium of Rs 3, 193/= was paid for period from 05/03/2010 to 04/03/2011 (Rather I was co-erced into paying the same by their incessant phone calls - which , at one stage, became a nuisance) The image created by them was that I had to just get hospitalised,  and poof ..... they will be there by the bedside with their cheque! However, the reality was pathetically converse of their promises, and woefully sub-standard for any service provider - leave alone Sundaram.I lodged a claim with them on 21.07.2010 for hospitalisation of my wife from 09.07.2010 to 13.07.2010 after informing them over phone on 10.07.2010 itself.

However, for the next 4 weeks nothing was heard from them and I had to call them on STD to Chennai, which itself is a punishment enough to deter anybody from approaching them - because of the transfers of phone to at least 3 people, and in the meantime listening to music or some more promotional talks, which adds insult to injury. They could not tell me the status, and I had to confirm delivery from the courier company. After a week, I again called Chennai and was told that a letter was sent to my home. I had to ask them the contents of the letter and came to know that my claim had been rejected by them on some flimsy excuse. That letter is yet to reach me-the postman probably is bringing it on foot from Chennai to Pune! Since I complained to them, they assured me that they are sending repudiation form for reconsidering the claim. Even after 20 days, I have not received the same. Their toll free number 1800-345-8899 is not answering Their landlines 044-2851 7387 to 90 are kept ringing . Their mobile 94444 48899 is not picked up.So what is their Hospital Cash scheme? Hospital for you and Cash for them! Hence it is advisable to stick to our good old LIC, NIAC, UIIC rather than these sleek no-gooders
