I strongly advise everyone not to keep gold with Rupeek. I have faced two back-to-back terrible experiences with their gold release process:
First incident:
I paid for a partial gold release and was given a 3:003:30 PM slot at the Federal Bank Tangra branch. Their executive Mr. Chanchal Das even asked me to arrive earlier at 2:30 PM, but after I reached, he stopped taking calls. I kept calling and even contacted customer care repeatedlyno one responded. Finally, at 3:40 PM, another person appeared only to say my gold was not even at the branch. Total waste of time and complete negligence.
Second incident:
Again I paid on a Sunday expecting next-day release as Rupeek promises. No call on Monday. After chasing them, I finally got a Wednesday 4:30 PM slot, confirmed by executive Ms. Sadhna Sharma. I took a half-day leave, spent on travel, reached on timeand was then told the release couldnt happen because of a bank audit. No prior notice, no apology, still no gold release.
Rupeek is quick to charge interest and penalties for any delay from the customer, but when they waste our time, money, and leave from work, they take no responsibility.
These repeated failures show zero professionalism and accountability.
My honest advice: Do NOT pledge or store your gold with Rupeek. Their promises of hassle-free, next-day gold release are completely unreliable.
