A fraud e-wallet & denies access to use the funds

Rupizo is one of the latest e-wallet in the market powered by Digibank. I received numerous messages and emails from last few months about this e-wallet so I thought to give it a try. Digibank has started its operation by offering savings accounts to customers that can be used completely online. To expand their customer base they offer a very high interest rate of 7% and also users gets a virtual debit card that can be used to shop online.

Now, DBS has started offering this e-wallet to increase their revenue and to expand customer base. As at present every bank is offering and e-wallet service to their customers so Rupizo is also an attempt by DBS to get into competition by offering an e-wallet service to their customers and to retain and expand their customer base.

Rupizo is actually in the initial stage of its operation and this reflects in its poor layout and design. While using it users can easily get an idea that they are new in the business and the whole layout and design reflects them as a new entrant into the e-wallet business segment. The layout of various payments option is not done quite well and I face a lot of problem while using these services.

It has a very few features that are limited to only mobile and d2h recharge and mobile bill payements. Apart from this it has only add money option and currently funds tranfer to bank option is available only when wallet is upgraded. To upgrade a wallet users must have a saving account with DBS, without it they don’t accept application for wallet upgradation. The shop online feature is currently not available and there is a message pops up that this feature will be available soon. Apart from all these features it doesn’t have anything to offer to the users at present.

So, overall my experience with them is unsatisfactory so far due to poor and limited services. When ever I try to login it ask me to enter the MPIN, after entering the correct MPIN it doesn’t allow me to to login and every time it shows incorrect MPIN. If by chance I get access then the app hangs a lot and make it very difficult to complete a transaction. Technical errors pops in every now and then and log me out of the app. Even while while doing a recharge and bill payment the OTP is not delivered on the mobile on time and results in transaction decline.

Even this is a fraud app I have funds in my account but they are not giving access to my account and I can’t utilize the available funds in my account.
