Let me come straight to the point before going deep into the review as such.
Dont watch Rush Hour 2, Jackie Chan was good in his original Chinese movies, but RS2 is a extremely mediocre flick.
The Plot or lack of it??
As always Jackie is a Hong Kong Cop who goes to US of A to fight ’dangerous’ criminals. There are couple of babes and cris tucker to keep him company.
The movie is woven around the relationship between Jackie and his pa’s (who also was a cop) best friend, who is a cop gone bad. The guy fakes his death and reaches ’the united states’. So naturally, the best hong kong cop reaches US and meets the supposedly ’loudest mouth in the west’, chris tucker
The rest of the movie is full of overacting and some ’childish’ martial arts by Jackie.
Hilarious Moments? I don’t think so!!

Tucker meets Jackie and thinks that Jackie doesn’t know english, and the result is supposed to be hilarious, but it was pathetic.
Jackie taking Tucker to a brothel, and Tucker enjoying every bit or it was also GROSS.
The problem with tucker is that even though he is a ok actor, he tends to overact sometimes, rather always, and Poor jackie, how can he give a good performance if he can’t even speak english properly.
Conclusion
I personally feel that Jackie’s chinese movies were 100 times better, Drunken Master, Protector, and Project A were classics and even my mother used to watch those movies with me(10 years ago :-)).
Please dont ’rush’ to watch rush hour 2, its a waste of time, try to watch ’The Beautiful Mind’ instead.
I started hating Chris Tucker after this movie, I don’t know why he agreed doing this part.
