My name is satish. I am a Chartered Accountant. I have booked bus ticket from Bangalore to Hyderabad on Friday night viz. 20th may 2016 night at 9.00pm. I was scheduled with an interview in Saturday morning 9am at financial district in Hyderabad. So I booked the bus at 9pm which showed that it will reach by 6am in the morning to Hyd Lakdikapul where I planned to try ready and go to interview. The bus they have given at the time of reservation is scania. I usually prefer scania because its more spacious than their Volvo buses which are more congested n little room to keep legs if the front seater pushes his seat back. Usually as per the trend, they charge more for scania buses than Volvo buses.
Things happened:-
There was no phone number on invoice I booked. I had no idea to whom I call if something goes wrong.
I booked place of embarkation as majestic. There are two embarkations one majesrtic and other race course. But when I reached majestic and spoke to that guy in SRS travels he told me to go race course. I had to walk all the way from majestic to race course.
I didnt got any message about bus number and drivers phone number well in advance. I was there at the said race course office before ten minutes of scheduled time. And I got message at five minutes before 9pm. Shows lack of planning and customer service.
And then I was informed with a message(that the bus scania/Volvo bearing buds number. Xxxx us late by half an hour) that bus will be late by half an hour which obviously rised some tension as I had to be there on time. I waited and the bus was one hour late.
To passengers surprise the bus was Volvo and not scania. Few people who prefer scania to Volvo for same reasons have objected and the travels person gave stupid reasons saying some breakdown. But In fact they even said in the delay message that its a scania/Volvo bus with number. They do know well that its a Volvo bus as they actually plan in advance that which bus go where. So its all well planned. Charged more and Providing less service. We had no choice and sat in bus.
People are coming and going out of bus and unable to find their seats. Some people got same seat numbers and there was all mess for adjusting seats. Those travels person was unable to handle it. It made more delay and bus started at 11pm. I was like frustrated and thinking about interview.
They charge a whopping 1100 rupees for the journey. They dont even provide a water bottle. The blankets smells dirt. The charging plugs dont work.
The seats were so close that the front set touching my kness and feeling uncomfortable. Thought I would get a good night sleep in scania but with this through half journey I was unable to sleep adjusting myself.
They didnt provide services that balance with money charged. They loot customers like this.
Morning 8 I reached at Hyd. I was in hurry and as u guessed I was late for the interview and I had to provide all those explanations for not getting at time.
Finally a well planned trip went worse inly because srs travels. I am fully dissatisfied with its service.
I heard few people in the bus saying that they tolerated so far but now they are done with SRS buses. Even I am done with it.
