Saregamapa is extending its territories from India to global arena. This version is bringing in singers from Pakistan and Middle East. Hosted by Vishwas, Saregamapa Challenge & Ek main Ek tu participant. Vishwas is able to hold his forte as a host, mingling with the contestants as well as presenting with all wit, smile and of course his "shers". The judges include Remo & Vasundara Das, Bappi Da and now Alka Yagnik.
The program started off with 32 contestants competing for the challenge in Groups of 4. Each episode selected 2 - one boy and one girl - to move to the next round. The selection was based on 3 rounds - Movie songs and non movie songs of contestants choice and then song of judges choice. The participants were highly talented especially the ones from Pakistan who had excellent vocals and seem to have trained in music. The Pakistani boys showed immense passion for Music. I am sure Bolly wood would throw open their doors to couple of them.
